Many of you are already traveling across the country — or even the globe! — to celebrate with us, so your presence is all we ask for.

If you'd still like to contribute a gift, please consider donating to one of the below charities that are near & dear to our hearts.

If you do decide to make an optional donation to one of the charities listed below — please let us know! We are not tracking donations, but we would still love to send you a thank you note.

For the Love of Dogs

For the Love of Dogs is a foster-based dog rescue run solely by volunteers — including Mike’s mom, Melissa! They tirelessly advocate for homeless, abused or abandoned dogs all along the east coast, rescuing dogs from high-kill shelters and running local adoption events to connect potential pups with their forever home… and we might be a little biased, because they’re the ones who brought us to our sweet girl, Hazel!

Anacostia Riverkeeper

Anacostia Riverkeeper protects and restores the Anacostia River for all who live, work, and play in the watershed. This charity is of particular significance to us, as it is local to our home in D.C. and to our professions in the environmental field. Through their work sampling water quality and cleaning up plastic pollution, Anacostia Riverkeeper is dedicated to creating a healthy and accessible river that enhances the life of all watershed residents — people and wildlife alike!

Martha’s Table

For over 40 years, Martha’s Table has been committed to advancing a more equitable Washington, D.C. where every resident has equal opportunity to thrive. This community-led organization supports local children and families by operating nationally accredited education programs, pairing healthy food access with physical and mental health services, and promoting family success through community investments.
